***The Holycross clan came from Dinwiddie County, Virginia to the North Lewisburg, Ohio vicinity in 1810. According to documents from the great-grandson of Howell, 5 Holycross brothers relocated to Ohio at the same time. All were the sons of John Holycross, born in Virginia in 1740. John, the father, did not relocated to Ohio. So far, only 3 of the brothers have been identified, John Joseph, the oldest, Abram, somewhere in the middle, and Howell, the youngest. All five brothers moved to Ohio with their complete families.
Shortly after arriving in Ohio, Abram moved his family to Vermillion, Indiana and, ultimately, to Vermillion, Illinois.

What I would appreciate from Holycross family members is ANY information concerning burials in the Spain Cemetery area. This might include copies of documents which they have relative to burials there, copies of records kept in family Bibles, genealogical records, old photographs of funeral/burial services conducted in North Lewisburg churches and at the cemetery, copies of deeds which may have been issued for burial sites in the Spain Cemetery area of the complex. I would also appreciate similar information, documents, photos, Bible entries, etc., for members of the extended Holycross family who were buried in the "old" section of Maple Grove Cemetery or the "new" Gilbert Addition to the cemetery.
Please refrain from sending me original copies of documents, photos, etc. Good, clean, high resolution scanned copies will work just as well, as will such sources sent to me as attachments via e-mail.
